How do I use the shampoo & conditioner bars?
Shampoo Technique #1: Use the bar directly on your hair
Wet the shampoo bar, then gently rub directly onto your wet hair from scalp to ends in a combing or painting motion. Once it’s worked up to a nice lather, massage your scalp with fingertips, just as you would with any other shampoo! Let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then rinse completely.
Shampoo Technique #2: Create lather in your hands
Rub the wet bar between your hands to create a nice lather. Using your fingers like a comb, work the lather into your hair and scalp as desired. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes, then rinse completely.
Conditioning:
Much like Shampoo Technique #1 above, we recommend “painting” the bar on your wet hair, starting at the ends and moving upward towards the scalp. When you can easily run your fingers through your hair, you will know that the conditioner is fully applied. Contrary to traditional conditioners, it is okay to rub our conditioner bar on your scalp. We actually recommend it! The oils are extremely moisturizing and rinse clean.
How long do the hair bars last?
The bars’ lifespan depends on a few different factors, including your hair length, how often you use it, and how the products are stored. On average, we estimate that our shampoo and conditioner bars last approximately 50-75 washes (~2-6 months)*.
You can extend the life of your shampoo and conditioner bars by storing them on the wooden soap dish, which prevents them from sitting in a puddle of water. The soap dish helps elevate the bars and encourages air flow so they dry faster after each use!
